Samsung Internet stable app gets autocomplete, 90-day browsing history

Samsung has released a new update for the stable version of its Samsung Internet browser app. This update brings features that Samsung added to the beta version of the app a few weeks ago, and one of the features is a basic one that most browsers have supported forever.

Samsung Internet can now autocomplete the names of websites when you're typing them in the address bar if you have already visited a particular site before. Google Chrome already supports doing this, and Samsung has finally implemented it in its own app, which is one of the most popular browsers on the Android platform.

The new update also brings support for viewing history for the last 90 days. Samsung Internet initially supported viewing 500 entries of browser history but later received the ability to show you your browsing history for the last 60 days. With the latest version, which gets a bump up from v22 to v23, the browser can save history for another 30 days.

The new version (23.0.0.47) of Samsung Internet is now downloadable from the Galaxy Store, though it may take some time for it to be available for everyone. It will also be available for download from the Play Store. If you don't want to wait, you can download the installation file for the latest version of the app from APKMirror for a manual install.
