Samsung officially announced Good Lock 6.0, the next major update to the app, earlier today and revealed the changes and features it will be bringing to the table when it releases alongside Android 14 and One UI 6.0. But Samsung didn't stop there and has also revealed some of the new stuff we can expect from Good Lock in 2024 and on One UI 6.1.
Perhaps the most important announcement here is that Good Lock 2024 will enable users to customize the Game Booster feature that comes preloaded on all Samsung phones and tablets. For those unaware, Game Booster is designed to enhance your gameplay experience through features such as performance and battery life optimization, reduction of distractions from notifications as you play, and more.
Good Lock 2024 will bring Game Booster customization, new Kids Cafe features
Game Booster is one of those Samsung apps that doesn't really get updated too often, so its inclusion in Good Lock is a welcome one as it will mean we will finally see new functionality in the app. Unfortunately, Samsung isn't saying what that new functionality will be, only that it will be taking customer feedback into account for new features and improvements to existing features.

Good Lock will also bring some other changes next year when One UI 6.1 is released (One UI 6.1 will debut on the Galaxy S24 lineup and eventually be released for existing devices). According to Samsung, customization options available in Good Lock's LockStar and ClockFace modules will be directly accessible from within the OS' native Settings app, while the Kids Cafe module will allow users to “map desired functions to keyboard gestures and designate keyboard touch sounds.”
In 2024, Good Lock will hopefully be released in more countries. Samsung expanded its availability to a few countries this year, but we and other Samsung fans will only be satisfied when Good Lock becomes available everywhere Samsung sells its phones and tablets.
