Last year, it was revealed that Samsung is working on a newer fitness tracker to complement its Galaxy Watch smartwatch lineup. The upcoming wearable's rough design was also revealed. Now, the first set of images of the Galaxy Fit 3 have leaked, showcasing the design of the upcoming fitness tracker.
The Galaxy Fit 3, whose images have been leaked by Windows Report, appears to have a much bigger screen than the Galaxy Fit 2. It now looks more like a smartwatch, but it will likely not run Wear OS like the Galaxy Watches do. It appears to have a rectangular OLED screen with relatively thin bezels, and it will likely compete with the likes of the Fitbit Charge 6 and the Xiaomi Band 8. It has a single button on the right side. It doesn't seem to have a loudspeaker, so it might not have the ability to take calls or have a full-fledged virtual voice assistant.
In these images, you can see the Galaxy Fit 3 in its pink/gold hue. It has a heart rate sensor on the rear and two pogo-pin connectors for charging. It has a watch-like silicon strap for added comfort, but it doesn't look like it can be replaced. It might have GPS, though, which the Galaxy Fit and the Galaxy Fit 2 lack. It might also feature Bluetooth music streaming, but we can only be certain after the official announcement.
If it doesn't run Wear OS, which seems likely, we might be looking at a device that can run a week or two on a single charge. However, it won't have smart apps that we've come to love on the Galaxy Watch lineup. The Galaxy Fit 2 was launched in 2020 with a price tag of just $59, and it is possible that Samsung might increase the price of the Galaxy Fit 3 a bit, thanks to added features like a bigger screen. We are not sure when we can see an official announcement, but it might happen at the next Galaxy Unpacked event.
