Samsung's lineup of Microsoft Surface competitors will expand next year with the Galaxy Book 4, which will come in five models with different sizes, specs, and form factors. Some specs for the Galaxy Book 4, Galaxy Book 4 360, Galaxy Book 4 360 Pro, Galaxy Book 4 Pro, and Galaxy Book 4 Ultra were revealed through certification listings late last month, and a report from WindowsReport has now leaked the rest.
The Galaxy Book 4 lineup isn't a major departure from the Galaxy Book 3. Samsung is once again sticking to Intel processors and using an Nvidia RTX GPU on the Ultra model. The processors have been upgraded to Intel's 14th Gen Meteor Lake chips, which have slightly lower maximum clock speeds compared to the 13th CPUs used in the Galaxy Book 3 series but have more cores and/or threads.
The Galaxy Book 4 Ultra will reportedly feature an Nvidia RTX 4070 like the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra, though it isn't mentioned if there will also be a variant with the less powerful RTX 4050. However, it seems the base Galaxy Book 4 will be downgraded from Intel's Arc graphics to onboard graphics, and the opposite will be true for the Galaxy Book 4 Pro and Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360.
As expected, the Galaxy Book 4 lineup will feature AMOLED displays (except for the regular Galaxy Book 4, which has an LED display). There will be NVMe storage on-board, as is the norm for high-end PCs and laptops these days, along with 8/16/32GB RAM. Available ports are said to include Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A, USB-C ports, and HDMI, alogn with a microSD card reader. Windows 11 will come preloaded.
