It looks like Samsung is almost ready to unveil its cheapest 5G smartphone for next year. The Galaxy A15 5G, which was leaked recently, is making its way to the US with some pretty big upgrades. Compared to the Galaxy A14 5G, the Galaxy A15 5G has a better chip, better screen, and better cameras.
Galaxy A15 5G will be available in the US soon
The Galaxy A15 5G has been listed on Best Buy's website for the US. Priced at $140, the new affordable 5G phone from Samsung has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. This is an upgrade to the Galaxy A14 5G's 6.6-inch LCD screen with a similar resolution. The phone has a 13MP selfie camera, a 50MP primary rear camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. Its predecessor has a 2MP depth camera instead of the 5MP ultrawide camera.
Samsung is powering the Galaxy A15 5G with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. The phone appears to be available in just one color: Blue Black. However, we expect the device to be available in more colors when it is actually available for purchase. It will be available on Boost Mobile's network. The phone measures 6.30 x 3.00 x 0.33 inches.
Previous reports revealed that the Galaxy A15 5G will use the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage, and a microSD card slot. The phone will run Android 14 out of the box, and looking at Samsung's track record, it should get at least two major Android OS updates. It could have a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
