Buy the Galaxy S23 FE to get the best Galaxy Note 10+ trade-in value

If you're like me and you're still holding on to a Galaxy Note 10+ then first of all, kudos to you! Even though I've used all of the latest Galaxy S Ultra flagships and use the Galaxy Z Flip 5 as a daily driver, I've long been waiting for the right opportunity to maximize the Galaxy Note 10+ trade-in value to get the most bang for my buck.

The Galaxy S23 FE has just gone on sale in the United States today. As you can imagine, the best deals are to be found on Samsung.com. That's also our best bet at getting a great trade-in value for this legacy device without having to pay a lot of money on top for a newer device.

Let's break down how to maximize the Galaxy Note 10+ trade-in value

Samsung will give you an instant $250 trade-in credit for the Galaxy Note 10+ if you buy the Galaxy S23 FE from its online store. This knocks down the price to $379.99 from $629.99, which is a great deal on a device that's as capable as the Galaxy S23 FE. We've already said in our Galaxy S23 FE review that this is Samsung's most value-packed phone of 2023.

It's powered by a vastly improved version of Samsung's Exynos 2200 chipset, has a chunky 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support, a great 6.4-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a robust camera setup. The Galaxy S23 FE is obviously going to blow the Galaxy Note 10+ out of the water when it comes to performance since it's several generations ahead. It's also supported for four years of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates, meanwhile, the Galaxy Note 10+ no longer receives any OS upgrades.

The Galaxy Note 10+ trade-in value for the Galaxy S23 FE is in a very sweet spot. Samsung's maximum trade-in offer for this device is $300 that you get for devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy S22+. A Galaxy Z Flip 4 is only going to fetch $250. It goes without saying that those aren't the devices you want to trade-in if you're looking to buy the Galaxy S23 FE.

On third-party trade-in platforms, you can hardly get over $100 for this device. Even though Samsung can offer potentially more for the Galaxy Note 10+ if you exchange it for devices like the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the delta there is quite significant even when you knock off that $400, you need to pay more than $700 for the latest flagship.

The maths works out here. This is a great way to get rid of a device that may be collecting dust at place and get one of Samsung's best smartphones for the year that's future-proof and provides a great user experience. It's a no-brainer, now excuse me while I go put in my order for a brand new Galaxy S23 FE.
