The beloved animated icon Shrek is making his triumphant return to video games in the upcoming DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing. The original Shrek first hit theaters in the summer of 2001 and became an overnight sensation, winning moviegoers of all ages over with its charming cast of characters and willingness to poke fun at the classic animated Disney fairytale films of old. Three mainline Shrek sequels were produced, with a fifth rumored in partnership with Illumination Entertainment, the same studio behind this year’s blockbuster Super Mario Bros. Movie.
